"Images 33" Exhibition

The new art annual by the AOI has finally been released! And with it comes the exhibition at the London College of Communication in Elephant & Castle! This was a great opportunity to take a look at what the book describes as the "Best of British Illustration".

Awards were given out for each category including Advertising, Books, Children's Books, Design, Editorial, New Media, Self Promotion and New Talent. The book itself is pretty hefty, measuring more than an inch thick! As expected, the artwork look as beautiful printed as they do on the walls of the exhibition. My own copy should be coming through the post soon!

Miss Hood Poster

It took far longer than anyone anticipated! Went through multiple drafts and re-drafts! We thought we finished it... then we started again from scratch! But it all paid off in the end! Here I present the first collaboration between Jonathan Lam (that's me) & Annie Dalton! (http://www.anniedalton.co.uk)

The exhibition itself will be open at the Rag Factory in Brick Lane from the 10th till the 13th of October! Private view is on the 9th of October!

Linework

Miss Hood

Many changes were made to the poster.
Hence the two Red Riding Hood designs.

Two girl designs for the poster of the 'Miss Hood' exhibition.

Too Many Layers!!

Been a busy couple of months and all I've got to show are these two screenies!! Been working on this for way too long...

Things look like they're finally starting to chill out now though, so I'll see if I can upload something a little more substantial later.

UnMasked

UnMasked Exhibition

Here are a few pictures from the 'UnMasked' exhibition at the Rag Factory! The past few months have been quite hectic for everyone involved, but I think the work that has been put in has paid off! There was a lot of quality work on display and although there were a few minor issues that need to be addressed next time, overall the exhibition went well.

For the four days it was open we were kept busy most of the time (even stealing many people looking for the exhibition next door, so thanks for the extra help guys!)

Well done to those who managed to sell their work, thanks to everyone who were involved... and thank you to everyone that came down to check the exhibition out!
